 Tomatoes :
Tomatoes are most well known for the powerful antioxidant “Lycopene”.
Lycopene is a caretonoid found primarily in tomatoes. Research
has shown that lycopene may assist in the prevention of prostate
cancer. Researchers believe that lycopene neutralizes free
radical toxins that can damage cells and and trigger cancer.
Tomatoes also contain high amounts of vitamin C, potassium,
folate, beta carotene, gamma carotene, bioflavonoids,
glutathione and other phythonutrients for good health. Tomatoes
contain citric, oxalic and malic acids. These acids are all
needed for proper metabolism.
