 Purple
Grape (Vitis vinifere): Purple Grapes are rich in
polyphenolic compounds called flavonoids. They include quercetin,
proanthocyanidins and resveratrol. These are powerful
antioxidants that scavange free radicals, help resist damage to
skin and blood vessels, inhibit inflammatory processes and
histamine formation. Grapes help prevent cardiovascular disease,
inflammatory conditions, cancer, asthma, diabetes, liver
disease, cataracts and macular degeneration. Grapes are also a
great source of vitamins C, K and potassium. |
