source of potassium. Potassium rich foods like prunes are
effective in lowering blood pressure. Prunes are a good source
of fiber as well. Soluble fiber such as that found in prunes
helps normalize blood sugar levels by slowing the rate at which
food leaves the stomach and glucose is absorbed into the
bloodstream.
